Meet Matt, fellow American traveler and current Visa Go advertising stunt man.
In 2008, Matt Harding quit his job and visited forty-two countries over the course of fourteen months alongside travel companion and videographer, Melissa Nixon to document his travels (and eventually his infamous dancing) that led him to accept an offer to be the face of VisaGo.
Despite land divide, cultural differences, and language barriers, he dances his way through each land of choice from London and India to Thailand and New York City, connecting with the people with his signature “Matt” dance- eventually commencing a smile, coercing an inevitable laugh, and lastly, forming a connection…which has incidentally led him to stardom!
Check out Matt Harding’s widely popular 2008 video compiled by his own game-designing expertise- see if you don’t smile.
(Adopted portion of the poem, Streams of Life, by Rabindranath Tagore, were used to create Gary Schyman’s Praan lyrics used in the video.)
“Streams of Life” by Rabindranath Tagore
The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and danced in rhythmic measures
It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.
It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.
I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.
