The incredibly talented poet and spoken-word artist, Shane Koyczan, gives a heart-felt talk in front of the TED audience, describing his confusing and arduous time as a teenager – A journey many of us can empathize with.

He explains the time at school when he was asked what he wanted to do when he grew up, and having his answers met with, “be realistic” and “don’t be stupid”.
