You’ve gotta meet Wendy. She’s truly inspirational. After surviving a car crash, doctors told her she’d never walk again. And yet miraculously through sheer determination, Wendy was walking six months later.
But unfortunately, a mishap occurred. Wendy was caught in a terrible fire and suffered serious injuries which took away her walking abilities. And doctors told her this time, she’d never walk again. But Wendy refused to give up. She kept on believing. And despite having serious burns and being bed ridden for two years, Wendy waited patiently for her leg surgery. She just knew that deep down inside, it was the next step for her to walk again.
We think the universe heard her. Because six years later, Wendy got her surgery. And the doctors got it wrong. Wendy is recovering and has managed to walk 70 feet. Yup. And get this. Wendy plans to walk 1 kilometre by her next birthday. And her nephew Brad Morris (from our FinerMinds community) will be right there walking with her. He’s even set up a page for anyone to join Wendy next year on her 1 KM journey. So we’re sending Wendy all the strength and positive spirits in the world. And hope to see some of our FinerMinds community walkin’ with her in a year too. :)
