Having someone cook for you sprinkled with love on top is better than any five star cuisine. So when we discovered that there’s a guy out there giving away french toast and hugs, we had to share his story.

His name is Syam Vasant Yadav. And he’s the man behind French Toast & Hugs. What began as a fun gesture for the Burning Man Festival in 2000 has now spread across the globe. And he’s been making these tasty treats at no cost for anyone. But why is he doing this? According to his interview with Visual News:

“It’s the only time that I feel like I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing. When I do my job, I’m good at my job, but it doesn’t give me a whole lot of joy. When I do this, it’s like this is exactly what I’m supposed to do. People wait in line, the music is playing, they are talking and laughing. People feel good. I don’t have a plan with this thing. But I do know that the more I do it, the better I feel.”

Today, Syam and his awesome team have fed about six thousand peeps from around the world. We’re loving this heart-filled idea. The joy of giving is truly a wonderful thing. And these guys are definitely up to something special.

So here’s a thought for the day. Should we start-up a food and hugs movement across the globe? Share those thoughts with us below. We’d love to hear your ideas. :)
