FinerMinds is proud to be part of Mindvalley, a company that employs people from all corners of the world (well, from 32 countries to be exact!). Together, we celebrate and respect each other’s cultural diversity – whether it be through learning about our diverse traditions, or indulging in some of the varied delicacies left on our kitchen table!
Therefore in aid of diversity, we have taken this opportunity to share the festivities of a local Ramadan bazaar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to mark Eid Al-Fitr, the end of this holy month of fasting for Muslims.
Eid is a time of thanksgiving and is celebrated with friends and family, cultural food favorites, sweet delicacies and green decorations. People are encouraged to forgive and forget any differences with others or animosities that may have occurred during the year. In essence, it is a reminder for anyone to practice love and respect for others.
The Empire State Building is no stranger to celebrating cultural diversity, it “celebrates many cultures and causes in the world community with iconic lightings. Its tower lights recognize key milestones, events, charitable organizations, countries and holidays throughout the world, not political or religion-related events”.
Every year, the Empire State Building is lit up in green for the festivities of Eid and this year is no different! So whilst we wait to see the iconic light show, we leave you with this short video in celebration of our cultural diversity.
