We’ve all heard of time capsules. The idea of burying items of legacy and retrieving them in the future adds deeper value to our existence.
But what if you could store your personal beliefs, goals and experiences in a capsule and only recover them a year from now? Imagine being able to instantly review yourself and measure your growth in just a year!
In 2008, three friends decided to launch 10Q – an annual online campaign that runs for ten days and asks members to answer questions about themselves. A question is revealed on each day, and once the ten days are up, the vault is closed. Everyone will have to wait a year before they get their answers emailed back to them again.
The questions are serious, but it is up to you to answer them however you want. Here are some examples of what’s been asked in the past:
Describe a significant experience that has happened in the past year. How did it affect you? Are you grateful? Relieved? Resentful? Inspired?
How would you like to improve yourself and your life next year? Is there a piece of advice or counsel you received in the past year that could guide you in this project?
Have you had any particularly spiritual experiences this past year? How has this experience affected you?
Sounds interesting? We think so too. The 10Q vault for 2012 launches September 16th. All you need to do is register at their website and your first question will be emailed to you. Let us know if you’re doing it! Also tell us what you think of this brilliant little project.
