Kristina Pawliw, explains how we can be the creators of our own destiny by writing our own horoscopes.
I was fascinated by astrology – until I studied Macbeth in school. The fact that a king’s downfall resulted from his belief in a prophecy showed me the danger of believing our future as told by someone else.
When I discovered the metaphysical theory that we have many different possible futures depending on the choices we make, I wondered: can we predict our own future by deciding what we want to end up with? Can we, in effect, write our own horoscope? The answer to that question in short is, yes, I believe we can.
Creating Your Own Horoscope – Five Easy Steps
1) Clear any blocks for future success
Before we can really write our own horoscope and turn it into reality, we need to make sure we have cleared any blockages to our future success. For example, many of us do not truly believe we deserve the life we dream of – so we can either avoid dreaming or sabotage our success subconsciously if we do see results.
To get an idea of your blocks, look back to what you were told most often as a child – many of our deepest self-beliefs date from this period. Also look at the things you hesitate to do or procrastinate over and why.
For example, did you have a teacher who constantly corrected you when you spoke in front of the class? Does the thought of public speaking now make you break into a sweat because of how your teacher made you feel all those years ago?
2) Replace negative beliefs with positive affirmations
Once you have come up with a list of limiting beliefs you can start to remove them. In this step, ask yourself: “Is this belief really true”?
Doing this allows you to experience the belief from a different and less powerful perspective, which helps you let go of it.
Now, replace it with a new, positive belief that is totally the opposite. So, if one of your beliefs is “I am not good enough” a replacement belief could be “I deserve success, happiness and abundance”.
3) Post your positive beliefs
Once you have a list of new positive self-beliefs, post them somewhere you will see them often. Repeat them to yourself morning and night to start shifting your mindset and creating your strong foundation to write your own horoscope.
4) Write your predictions for the future
Now comes the fun part: writing your “predictions” for the future. The language you use will be slightly different to the horoscopes you read in newspapers and magazines though, as you will write as if the prediction has already happened, rather than as if it is yet to come true.
Also, you’ll include detailed descriptions of how the situation looks, feels, smells, and sounds.
So, for example, if you want a new car, your prediction might be “I love my new red sports car with its leather seats. I love its new car smell. I feel so free when I am driving it along country roads on sunny days.”
The aim is to make yourself feel as if you are in the situation of your dreams to help attract your dream to you in reality.
5) Read and live your horoscope everyday!
Once you have your horoscope drawn up, read and “experience” it each day.
Sometimes our dreams come true quickly, and in other circumstances it can take months or years. The important thing is to be persistent – keep the practice going even if it feels like nothing is happening. Have faith that the universe is working to make your dreams a reality in ways you may never have imagined.
Often things happen better than we could have ever conceived! That’s the beauty of life! Even though we are writing our own horoscopes, the universe can still surprise us with the way our predictions come true.
Enjoy your journey towards your dreams!
