To follow on from the two posts we wrote about brain wave frequencies earlier this month, we wanted to explore the benefits of brain entertainment. As we know, music is great for your lifting your spirits (not to mention fuel for your soul!) but it can also be used to help you meditate and relieve stress by producing a desired frequency.
As we predominantly operate in Beta when we’re awake, it’s easy to become stressed as this state is all about thinking, reasoning, logic and information gathering – meaning when you experience something that generates a negative emotional response, you go into stress mode.
When this stress isn’t released, it can cause anxiety, scattered thinking, tiredness and affect your overall mood (and you don’t have to be a scientist to understand why these symptoms are bad for you either!).
Therefore, to help you deal with those particularly stressful days, or to transcend into a deeper meditative state, brain entertainment works to synchronize your brain frequency with a specific beat.
