Tip #1: Appreciation

Can’t be understated this one. If you want to live a life you love, you gotta start loving the life you life. It doesn’t how huge the distance might seem between where you are and where you want to be, until you get with the appreciation program, you’re never going to make big strides in closing that gap. So even if all you have to appreciate is clean drinking water and a pair of shoes that fit – milk it for everything its worth. And while comparison isn’t usually a worthwhile exercise, all you have to do is think about the 100’s of 1,000’s of folks who don’t even have this to realize you’ve got something to say a hearty ‘thanks!’ for.

Tip #2: Knowing What You Don’t Want is Awesome Info

Yep, you read that right. When you know what you don’t want, it gives you a really big clue what you do want. And the more intensely you don’t want something, guess what? That shows you exactly how very much you do want its opposite. So when you find yourself focusing on something you don’t want, see it for the ‘aha!’ it is then totally and intensely start focusing on its opposite.

Tip #3: Refocus

When a topic is too ‘hot’ or painful, there’s no point in trying to use affirmations or positive thinking to shift your energy. Let’s face it, when you feel like s**t about something, more focus only piles on more crap. This is when you have to let it go for awhile and refocus on something else entirely for awhile. Give it a rest and be sure that the refocus is on something that makes you feel good. (For the FinerMinds Team that includes lots of kittens and puppies ;))
