Who doesn’t enjoy a good love story? Yes, I know I’m a man but I’m allowed to get a little sappy too ;)
This particular love story belongs to Raymond Aaron. He’s the author of two Chicken Soup for the Soul books and one of the most inspiring speakers I’ve seen. He’s a wealth mentor and coach to thousands. I actually met him Hawaii when I was speaking at an event there.
This story is straight from Raymond himself and pretty amazing. Really, there’s no other way to put it. They’re just phenomenal.
Enjoy!
From Raymond Aaron:
How I found my LEGGY wife:
My therapist was getting annoyed with me, for my years of wandering in the proverbial desert hoping for the woman of my dreams to show up. She asked me to focus on THREE characteristics I want. Forgot the LONG list, just three. I argued. I resisted. But, I finally sifted the list to 3 — Loving, Evolved and Gentle. Easy to remember because of the acronym LEG. But, I insisted on adding two more, just because I’m a guy. I wanted to add: Gorgeous and Young.
She accepted only because there was still a viable acronym: LEGGY. And, within months, the woman of my dream showed up with exactly those five characteristics.
How my wife, Karyn, found me :)
One month before we met, Karyn recorded her list of requirements of her perfect man. It was a long list. But, the last item is the weirdest. She insisted that he have co-authored TWO chicken soup for the soul books!
According to Patty Aubery, the President of Jack Canfield’s companies, I am the ONLY male double co-author. Of 3 billion men on this planet, I am the ONLY one who could qualify and I showed up one month later. When I entered her home for the first time, my name was all over her library. There were books endorsed by me on their covers, there were books mentioning me in the body. But, she had never consciously heard of me.
I’d love to hear some of your love stories so please drop a comment below. Even if you didn’t end up married to the person, a great story is still a great story. After all, Romeo and Juliet didn’t quite make it out alive but it’s still an awesome story ;)
