Hurray, spring is here!
Springtime means sunlight (and plenty of it); it is a perfect time to put your household chores on hold, step outside and enjoy some sun and fresh air.
Sunlight plays a significant role on mood, mind and body as it contains certain vitamins, such as vitamin D, which gives the body a natural mental and physical boost. The sun’s ultraviolet radiation has also been shown to release endorphins, which are natural mood boosters.
As a result, without adequate sunlight exposure, one might experience Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), which is a mild to moderate depression that can commonly takes place during winter. Not fun!
