What’s your “emotional diet” like?

Does it leave you feeling energized and able to get through the events of each day (both the enjoyable and challenging), or does it leave you feeling depleted and at the mercy of even the most minor of setbacks?

In this 7-minute video, psychologist Barbara Fredrickson explains that while it’s not always easy, by adopting a routine to generate positive emotions, you not only increase your happiness levels, but can alter your biological makeup for the better too.

We found this video to be really encouraging, as while we may sometimes feel like we can’t control our emotional well-being, science is consistently proving that by making even small adjustments to our lives (such as practicing meditation), we’re able to make a huge impact.
